Bedevilerden, izin almak üzere, özür beyan eden kimseler geldiler. Allah'a ve Peygamberine yalan söyleyenler ise, özür bile beyan etmeksizin geri kaldılar. Onlardan kafir olanlar can yakıcı azaba uğrayacaktır.

They can also be interpreted to mean they were making false excuses, and the first (from form II or VIII) is more indicative of that; in that case, the subsequent phrase 'those who lied' refers to the same people [al-Alusi].
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
