حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ، وَأَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ ‏"‏ تَفْضُلُ صَلاَةُ الْجَمِيعِ صَلاَةَ أَحَدِكُمْ وَحْدَهُ بِخَمْسٍ وَعِشْرِينَ جُزْءًا، وَتَجْتَمِعُ مَلاَئِكَةُ اللَّيْلِ وَمَلاَئِكَةُ النَّهَارِ فِي صَلاَةِ الْفَجْرِ ‏"‏‏.‏ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَاقْرَءُوا إِنْ شِئْتُمْ ‏<a href="https://quran.com/17/78-78">{‏إِنَّ قُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُودًا‏}</a>‏

باب فَضْلِ صَلاَةِ الْفَجْرِ فِي جَمَاعَةٍ

Narrated Abu Salama bin `Abdur Rahman:


Abu Huraira said, "I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, 'The reward of a prayer in congregation is twenty 
five times greater than that of a prayer offered by a person alone. The angels of the night and the 
angels of the day gather at the time of Fajr prayer.' " Abu Huraira then added, "Recite the Holy Book 
if you wish, for "Indeed, the recitation of the Qur'an in the early dawn (Fajr prayer) is ever witnessed." 
(17:78).

Superiority of the Fajr (early morning) prayer in congregation.

حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، وَابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، رضى الله عنه عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏"‏ فَضْلُ صَلاَةِ الْجَمِيعِ عَلَى صَلاَةِ الْوَاحِدِ خَمْسٌ وَعِشْرُونَ دَرَجَةً، وَتَجْتَمِعُ مَلاَئِكَةُ اللَّيْلِ وَمَلاَئِكَةُ النَّهَارِ فِي صَلاَةِ الصُّبْحِ ‏"‏‏.‏ يَقُولُ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ اقْرَءُوا إِنْ شِئْتُمْ ‏<a href="https://quran.com/17/78-78">{‏وَقُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ إِنَّ قُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُودًا‏}</a>‏

باب قَوْلِهِ ‏<a href="https://quran.com/17/2-2">{‏إِنَّ قُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُودًا‏}</a>‏

Narrated Ibn Al-Musaiyab:

Abu Huraira said, "The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'A prayer performed in congregation is twenty-five times more 
superior in reward to a prayer performed by a single person. The angels of the night and the angels of 
the day are assembled at the time of the Fajr (Morning) prayer." Abu Huraira added, "If you wish, 
you can recite:-- 'Verily! The recitation of the Qur'an in the early dawn (Morning prayer) is ever 
witnessed (attended by the angels of the day and the night).' (17.78)

The Statement of Allah the Most High: "Verily, the recitation of the Qur'ān in the early dawn (i.e. the morning - Fajr prayer) is ever witnessed (attended by the angels in charge of mankind of the day and the night) ." (V.17:78)

باب فَضْلِ صَلاَةِ الجَمَاعَةِ وَبَيَانِ التَّشْدِيدِ فِي التَّخَلُّفِ عَنْهَا ‏

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Prayer said in a congregation is twenty-five degrees more excellent than prayer said by a single person. He (Abu Huraira further) said: The angels of the night and the angels of the day meet together. Abu Huraira said: Recite it you like:" Surely the recital of the Qur'an at dawn is witnessed" (al-Qur'an, xvii. 78).
