Todavia, aos olhos da maior parte dos idólatras, seus "parceiros" tomaram fascinante o assassinato de crianças, a fimde os conduzirem à sua própria destruição; porém, se Deus quisesse, não o teriam feito. Deixa-os, pois, com tudo quantoforjam.

زَيَّنَ…قَتْلَ أَوْلَادِهِمْ شُرَكَاؤُهُمْ
zayyana…qatla awlādihim shurakāʾuhum
“For many idolaters, their associates have made it alluring to kill their children”
In the majority reading, the initial verb is active and its subject is shurakāʾ, hence the ‘associates made alluring’ an evil deed for those idolaters. That deed is in the object phrase qatla awlādihim, i.e. ‘killing their children’.
زُيِّنَ…قَتْلُ أَوْلَادَهُمْ شُرَكَائِهِمْ
zuyyina…qatlu awlādahum shurakāʾihum
“For many idolaters it has been made alluring that their associates kill their children”
In this reading, the verb is passive, so it is understood that Satan (etc.) has made alluring that deed which is here expressed as ‘the killing by their associates of their children’ (the typical word order would be qatlu shurakāʾihum awlādahum).
Explicação:
The majority reading is clearer in denoting that the caretakers of the idols have promoted child sacrifice. Ibn ʿĀmir’s reading (which accords with the Levantine Codex) is explained to mean the same, in that promoting this is tantamount to carrying it out, hence the ‘associates’ are both the ones making this deed alluring in the literal sense, and the killers of those children in the figurative sense [Ibn ‘Ashur].
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
