ورفعنا فوقهم الطور بميثاقهم وقلنا لهم ادخلوا الباب سجدا وقلنا لهم لا تعدوا في السبت واخذنا منهم ميثاقا غليظا ١٥٤
وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَهُمُ ٱلطُّورَ بِمِيثَـٰقِهِمْ وَقُلْنَا لَهُمُ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْبَابَ سُجَّدًۭا وَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ لَا تَعْدُوا۟ فِى ٱلسَّبْتِ وَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُم مِّيثَـٰقًا غَلِيظًۭا ١٥٤
Explicación:
These readings represent linguistic options and are identical in their meaning. The first reading is from the form I verb, and the others are based on form VIII (originally taʿtadū). *In the narration of Qālūn from Nāfiʿ, this word is realised with an overshort ‘a’ vowel. Abū Jaʿfar has it without any vowel.
