Allah asked, “What prevented you from prostrating when I commanded you?” He replied, “I am better than he is: You created me from fire and him from clay.”

Mwenyezi Mungu, Aliyetukuka, Akasema hali ya kumkemea Iblisi kwa kuacha kwake kumsujudia Ādam, «Ni lipi lililokuzuia usisujudu nilipokuamuru?» Iblisi akasema, «Mimi ni bora kuliko yeye, kwa kuwa mimi nimeumbwa kwa moto na yeye ameumbwa kwa udongo.» Akaona kuwa moto ni bora kuliko udongo.
