“Any verse We repeal or delay”
Explanation:
The translations here represent some possibilities among numerous others, which collectively indicate that God chooses what to do with His revelation and always brings what is most beneficial to His servants. The various terms in the readings (naskh/insākh, nasʾ/insāʾ) can be interpreted in multiple ways, some overlapping, and some creating complementary pairs of scenarios. The former terms naskh/insākh denote either the revelation of the verses, or their removal in form or legal import. The latter terms nasʾ/insāʾ denote either “delay” in the sense of leaving some verses unrevealed or unrepealed; or that the community is made to “forget” them by ceasing to act upon them.
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
